Step-By-Step Guide to Power Washing Deck

Pressure washing is an easy and effective way to clean your deck while restoring its natural beauty. All you need is a pressure washer, an extension wand, a detergent attachment, and some patience! Just be sure to prep your deck, set up your pressure washer, mix up a batch of Deck Cleaner Concentrate, and start Power Washing Sanford NC!

Step One: Prep Your Deck

Give your deck a good sweep or blast with the hose attachment on your pressure washer to remove any large debris like leaves, sticks, or pebbles. This will prevent them from getting caught in the nozzle and damaging your equipment, causing unsightly streaks on your clean deck! Once you've removed any big pieces of debris, it's time to move on.

Step Two: Set Up Your Pressure Washer

Start by connecting the high-pressure hose to your pressure washer unit according to the manufacturer's instructions. Then attach the extension wand and detergent attachment. Be sure to tighten all connections securely before moving on to avoid any unwanted leaks.

Step Three: Mix Your Detergent Solution

Pour one gallon of hot water into a five-gallon bucket, then add one cup of Deck Cleaner Concentrate. Stir until the solution is evenly mixed, then pour it into the pressure washer's detergent tank according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Step Four: Start Pressure Washing!

Once your detergent solution is ready, it's time to start Power Washing Sanford NC! Begin at the highest point of your deck, then work your way down using slow, consistent strokes. Be sure to overlap each stroke by about six inches for best results.

Step Five: Rinse & Repeat

Once you've gone over the entire surface of your deck with the pressure washer, rinse away any remaining detergent solution with clean water. Let your deck dry thoroughly, then admire your handiwork! Springtime chores are never fun but trust us when we say that power washing your deck will be worth it in the end. Not only will you have a beautiful outdoor space that you can enjoy all summer long but you'll also have boosted curb appeal which is always nice for those barbecues and pool parties.

Thanks for reading, and Happy Pressure Washing!
